Sadly, due to the heavy rain we have been experiencing coupled with high tides and the ground already being saturated, the yard has flooded and we have had to cancel our first customers of the season, who were due to begin their cottage holidays with us this Saturday. As you will see from the pictures below, parts of the yard were complete no go areas and most of the others were only passable with wellies, which wouldnt make for a very enjoyable or safe holiday. We do hope that we havent inconvenienced or disappointed those customers too much and very much look forward to welcoming them to the yard later in the year when there is less water around!
Today has been a very busy day with the boats. Gala, Gardenia, Grenada and Glamour Girls all went back into the water this morning and then this afternoon it was Gainsborough Girl's turn to be pulled out. She has very little repair work to be done, so we will be spending the main bulk of her out of the water time cleaning her up ready for her first hirers shortly. We now only have one boat left to pull out, which is Grecian Girl and, because of her size, she has to have the shed all to herself, so she will be the last one out of the season.
